A couple of days ago, I was standing in our kitchen when something light and whispy drifted past the window. Based on the current weather patterns I immediately thought of snow, but no. This morning I left the house to go down the garden to my office and was greeted by the sight of a light covering of - insulation material.

I have been a Lotus Notes consultant for 17 years now. That's a long time for a product to exist in the IT product market (actually it's been around since 1989 I think); so it's worth examining why it's still around, and why it is still the market leader in the collaboration space.

A long, long time ago, there was a UK company called BIBA: established by Barbara Hulaniky and her husband Fitz. My brother worked for them for many years and over Christmas he related a very interesting tale that highlights what can go wrong when corporate cultures are not taken into consideration during a take-over.

Windows 7 networking problem: a recurrence

Missing Lotusphere already and preparing for a vicarious existence
